Its hard to remember all your frnds birthdays. Cute cake icons done by skype and face book easily catces the attention of the user.

Small ideas like the cake icon used to replicate a person's birthday catches the users attention.When we think of birthdays the first thing that comes into our mind is a cake " the birthday cake with lot of  cream and icing and candles light up. Designers have to use the match between the real word experience and the memory .It is human psychology to think when we hear some words, we all are imaginative.We recollect the closest thing we have to relate with what we hear. Even when we see an icon we relate to the closest thing we know about it, like a toilet signage.

Nobody even knows the origin of birthday cake and birthday candles, why we use it for a birthday. Even culturally its different in most of the world, still the icon works. Thats how a Designer should understands a user.

I am new to blogging. The UX designer in me made me explore the site and I see this.

Design invlovement in the UI of the application Blogger. To make the user have a better feel about what to show case in their blog option of design is included.

What is UX Designer?

People always get confused with this term.

What do we actually do? Are we good with illustrator, does it mean that we have to know Photoshop, make beautiful eye popping design elements or is it all about following some new trend in web design, Icons, colours. What is UX all about? When a person asks you do you know coding Html and CSS? What is that all about don’t they even know I am a Master of design students and we are not form and IT back ground?

Still now we haven’t came across anything that is User experience, yes UX

The expansion of the small two alphabets says it all User Experience.

Two simple words the user and the experience. It is not limited to just an interactive application that is for mobile or a tablet It is not limited to an ATM machine or a food vending machine.

UX has grown so much just like design has been adopted by companies to give that better aesthetic and feel for their product.

As a UX designer I fell there is Experience everywhere. Let’s take an example when you play a game if you feel good you play it again and again the experience of the user to that game was so good that he loved it and will use it again.

Another simpler example the experience you have when you open a packaging of a new product that you have bought. Some people feel it was so they even remember the experience and keep the package.

That’s what UX design is all about design for the user, thinking about the user. So you know how better they feel when they use it.

Many things collaboratively work for a better UX. And it’s not necessary that all UX designers know everything. It’s a very diverse filed to point a few engineers, artist, architect, designers, and psychology professions work together and even they become UX designers. In my class room we are students of different field of studies and we feel that input from different source make our ideas better.

It’s all about the two little words, nothing more.
